South America Tour Packages 2022 and 2023

2016 South America ToursSouth America's endless variety of breathtaking landscapes, ancient mystical cultures, and exotic cities set the stage for the adventure of a lifetime.  Immerse yourself in South American cultures and delight in the scenery, cuisine, music, and history that surrounds you in Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cemetery of the Recoleta in Buenos Aires or visit Sugar Loaf and Corcovado Mountains and the Cathedral in Rio de Janeiro.

If you've traveled to Europe and other foreign countries and are now deciding on exploring South America, that is wonderful, but you shouldn't approach a tour of South America in quite the same manner as you would one of Europe or Asia due to some key differences.  South America is quite different from other continents.  Travel between countries is not like going from England to France or from Switzerland to Italy.

Our suggestion is to first check the map of the continent.  You'll note that it is about twice the size of Europe with a long mountain range stretching from north to south with rivers and jungles.  In South America, there are fifteen sovereign countries, each with its own laws and currencies. There are no superhighways like the Autobahn or Autostrada del Sole; as a matter of fact, there are hardly any major highways at all.  Also, don't expect trains to connect countries, as there very few trains that even connect cities within any particular country.  The main modes of transportation are to fly between cities and countries, take a cruise ship that goes around the coast, or take cruise ships that travel through parts of the Amazon River.

So what is the best way to satisfy your taste for Latin American people, food, music, and scenery?

The answer is simple: contact your travel agent and discuss with her/him where you wish to tour. You'll probably have to decide on one or two countries and your agent will guide you to the right South America vacation package.

What will you do on a South America tour?

Walk among ancient civilizations in Machu Picchu; cruise the Chilean Fjords; explore endless beaches; take a tango lesson; taste an unbelievable variety of foods; visit wine vineyards; enjoy great shopping, or see wildlife found nowhere else but in the Galapagos Islands. Our current selection of South America tour packages for 2022 and 2023 have something for everyone.

We offer carefully planned South America tour itineraries with the right balance of inclusions, must-see sites, and free time all planned to unlock the continents' richness and beauty.  You can also select from reasonably priced privately guided trips, independent vacations, and South America cruises.

The most frequently requested itineraries are for Peru and Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands on the west coast of the continent.  In addition, some people may want to visit Bolivia and Chile. Another popular itinerary involves a journey to hot and sassy Rio de Janeiro, a flight to Iguassu Falls (not to be missed!), and then a flight to Buenos Aires, the "Paris of South America," to savor this wonderful city's museums, restaurants, opera house, and concert halls.  Other tours will continue to Bariloche in the heart of Patagonia's Lake District, serving as beautiful scenery near the very south of South America.  The answer to your desire to see as much of South America as possible in one tour could begin in Chile because, from Santiago, you can fly to Lima, Peru and immerse yourself in Peruvian life, as described above. You will, however, need about 21 days to fulfill this itinerary.
