Best Time to Travel to Spain

Spain tours are best taken in April, May, and early June as well as September and October. Of course, you can go in the summer as well, but the country is hotter and, typically, more crowded.

U.S. Citizens only need a passport to travel to Spain (no Visas).  The currency of Spain is the Euro.  Credit cards are accepted throughout Spain and you should have no problems using them in larger shops and restaurants.  Smaller shops and vendors may require cash. Voltage for outlets is 230V; U.S. voltage is usually 110, so you will need a converter.  Food specialties in Spain include fresh seafood, paellas, tortillas (Spanish omelets), cured ham, caramel custard desserts, fine wines, and sherry.
